India, Oct. 9 -- At least 22 civilians, including five children, were reportedly killed and 54 others, including seven children, injured in overnight airstrikes across Ukraine on October 7, according to Save the Children. The attacks struck homes and schools, highlighting the growing danger faced by children and families in civilian areas.
Family Killed in Apartment Building Strike
Among those killed was a 23-year-old woman who had recently started working as an accountant at a school supported by Save the Children's partner organisation, Istok, in Pryluky. She died alongside her one-year-old son and husband when a missile struck their apartment building, destroying around 30 flats as families slept inside.
