India, Sept. 2 -- Tropical Storm Edouard made landfall along the Texas-Louisiana border on Tuesday, bringing wind gusts of more than 60 mph, heavy rainfall and a significant flood threat to communities along the Gulf Coast. The storm is the fifth named system of the 2026 Atlantic hurricane season.
Warnings Across Gulf Coast Communities
The National Weather Service issued tropical storm warnings stretching from Port Bolivar, Texas, to the Vermilion-Iberia Parish Line in Louisiana. Beaumont and Port Arthur in Texas, along with Lake Charles in Louisiana, were among the areas under warnings.
