India, Sept. 8 -- Rapid movement of Ebola specimens from treatment centres to laboratories is helping health authorities in the Democratic Republic of Congo accelerate diagnosis and strengthen outbreak control, particularly in Ituri Province.
Tackling Diagnostic Delays
Early in the outbreak, samples collected at treatment facilities faced delays while awaiting transfer to satellite laboratories. VillageReach, working with government health authorities, responded by deploying a dedicated vehicle to move specimens more efficiently.
