India, Oct. 19 -- The National Weather Service issued a Red Flag Warning for the Los Angeles region from Thursday to Saturday evening amid ongoing wildfire outbursts, as evacuation orders were issued for areas touching at least three wildfires: the Norte Fire, the Peak Fire, and the Bryson Fire, according to a Direct Relief report updated on Oct. 16, 2026.
Red Flag warning and hazardous conditions
The report said the wildfires were expected to easily gain strength due to hazardous conditions, including high heat and high wind warnings.
Weather conditions described in the report included the following:
* Temperatures expected to exceed 95 degrees
* Winds ranging from 40 to 50 mph
* Isolated wind bursts expected to surpass 70 mph
