India, Sept. 28 -- One month after devastating floods swept through parts of Nepal, girls living in temporary and displaced settings face growing risks of trafficking, violence, exploitation and child marriage, Save the Children has warned.
Safety Concerns Grow in Displacement Sites
The floods killed at least 1,400 people, while around 5,700 remained missing, according to figures cited by Save the Children. About 1,000 people are still living in communal holding centres, where girls have raised concerns about privacy and safety.
