India, Aug. 31 -- Nine schoolchildren stranded for two days after devastating flash floods in northern Nepal have been reunited with their families, while rescue teams continue efforts to reach other affected students.
Children Cut Off by Floodwaters
The children were left stranded after a massive surge of floodwater cut off routes connecting their school to surrounding communities, Save the Children said. After walking from their school, they reached an aid distribution point where the organisation was operating and were subsequently helped to reunite with their families.
