India, Aug. 31 -- Doctors Without Borders, also known as Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), has deployed an emergency response team to Nepal after devastating flash floods tore through Rasuwa district, leaving hundreds feared dead and many others missing.
Floods Ravage Settlements and Infrastructure
The floods struck areas including Timure, Rasuwagadhi and Syabrubesi, causing extensive damage to homes, markets and critical infrastructure. MSF said flood waves were estimated to have reached 26 to 33 feet in some locations, underlining the scale and force of the disaster.
