India, Aug. 21 -- Doctors Without Borders has condemned the Israeli military's decision to close cases concerning the killings of its staff in Gaza without opening criminal investigations, saying the move leaves little prospect of accountability through Israel's own legal system.

MSF Challenges Decision

Medecins Sans Frontieres, also known as Doctors Without Borders, said the decision by Israel's military advocate general was deeply troubling and called for an independent investigation into the deaths of its personnel. The organisation said the outcome was not surprising, arguing that investigations conducted within the military system cannot provide credible accountability when the forces involved are examining their own actions.
