India, Sept. 28 -- Amnesty International has urged Salvadoran authorities to respond to a request for a humanitarian visit to detained lawyer and human rights defender Ruth Lopez, amid concerns over her situation in custody.
Authorities Yet to Respond
The request for the humanitarian visit was submitted to Salvadoran authorities, but Amnesty said officials have remained silent. The organisation called for the authorities to facilitate access to Lopez and provide information about her current circumstances.
