India, July 20 -- In response to the June 2026 earthquakes in Venezuela, Direct Relief has mobilized multimillion dollar medical aid shipments and specialized mobile teams to provide essential healthcare services.
Mobilizing Care in Venezuela
The organization supported Medical Impact, a nonprofit deploying multidisciplinary teams from Mexico and Colombia to deliver mobile care. These teams operate in Caracas and other earthquake impacted areas using specialized medical backpacks to reach vulnerable populations. Response efforts include four shipments totaling 11.4 tons of supplies valued at $3.97 million.
