India, Sept. 22 -- As world leaders gather in New York for the UN General Assembly, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) has warned that escalating conflicts are pushing the world further off track in its efforts to eliminate extreme poverty, hunger and preventable disease by 2030.
Only 15% of SDG Targets on Track
The IRC's new report, Global Goals for a World in Conflict, says only 15% of the UN Sustainable Development Goal targets are currently on track or have been met. Countries affected by conflict are recording some of the weakest progress.
