India, Sept. 9 -- Deadly air strikes on densely populated Tehran neighbourhoods in March 2026 killed at least 41 civilians and caused extensive damage to homes and other civilian structures, Amnesty International said, calling for independent investigations into whether the attacks amounted to war crimes.
Three Tehran Neighbourhoods Examined
Amnesty investigated strikes in Niloufar, Resalat and Javadieh between March 1 and 13. Its researchers analysed satellite imagery, verified 60 online videos, reviewed official statements and interviewed people in Iran.
