India, Aug. 10 -- The killing of Lebanese journalist Amal Khalil in an Israeli air strike in southern Lebanon should be investigated as a possible war crime, Amnesty International said on August 6, citing witness accounts, video evidence and other material from the April 22 attack.
Three Strikes in Al-Tiri
Khalil, 42, and camerawoman Zeinab Faraj, 21, were reporting in al-Tiri, Nabatieh governorate, after receiving reports that Israeli forces had withdrawn from the area. They were travelling behind another vehicle when an Israeli strike hit it, killing two men.
The journalists left their car and sought shelter nearby as Israeli drones hovered overhead. About an hour later, another air strike hit their parked vehicle, injuring both women....
