India, Aug. 3 -- A new analysis by humanitarian organisation CARE has warned that nearly 170 million women and girls worldwide are experiencing hunger as worsening climate shocks and the prospect of a record breaking El Nino deepen existing food insecurity and inequality.
Women Bear the Heaviest Burden
CARE said women and girls continue to face a disproportionate share of the global hunger crisis due to unequal access to food, land, income and essential resources.
