New Delhi, May 15 -- Vadassery Damodaran Satheesan has been named as the next Chief Minister of Kerala. The Congress Legislative Party meeting held at the Kerala Legislative Assembly Hall unanimously elected V. D. Satheesan as the Congress Legislative Party (CLP) Leader following the United Democratic Front's victory in the Kerala Assembly elections.

The meeting was attended by AICC Kerala in-charge Deepa Dasmunsi, AICC observers Mukul Wasnik and Ajay Maken, KPCC President Sunny Joseph and other MLAs and party leaders.
