Union Health Minister J P Nadda Reviews Preparedness Measures for Ebola Disease in view of rising cases in parts of Africa
New Delhi, May 26 -- Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda reviewed preparedness and surveillance measures related to Ebola disease in view of the recent outbreak reported in parts of Africa and stated that no case of Bundibugyo Ebola disease has been reported in India so far.
Nadda said the Government of India, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is closely monitoring the evolving situation. He informed that screening at airports and other entry points has been intensified, while Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) have been put in place to strengthen surveillance and public health preparedness across the country.
