New Delhi, April 24 -- The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has imposed speed restrictions on the Airport Express Line due to ongoing tunnelling work for the Phase-IV Golden Line corridor. The development comes as construction progresses on the Aerocity-Tughlakabad stretch, one of the key expansion projects of the Delhi Metro network.

According to DMRC, the tunnelling activity is currently taking place directly beneath the operational Airport Express Line between Delhi Aerocity and IGI Airport Terminal 3. Given the technical complexity and safety considerations involved in executing underground work below an active metro corridor, precautionary speed limits have been introduced in this section.
