New Delhi, May 16 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta welcomed a delegation of Sri Lanka's Women Parliamentarians' Caucus led by Saroja Savithri Paulraj during their visit to Delhi.

Rekha Gupta said the increasing participation of women in Sri Lanka's democratic journey reflects a positive social transformation. She noted that India and Sri Lanka continue to share deep civilisational bonds, democratic values and strong people-to-people ties.

The Chief Minister also highlighted that under the leadership of Narendra Modi, India is moving forward with the vision of women-led development, where "Nari Shakti" plays a major role in national progress.
