New Delhi, May 16 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta chaired a meeting of the BJP legislature party at the Delhi Secretariat and discussed steps to take Prime Minister Narendra Modi's seven national appeals to the masses amid the current global situation.

Rekha Gupta said discussions were held on transforming these national appeals into a people's movement through greater public participation.

The Chief Minister asked all MLAs to promote the use of public transport, carpooling, "Metro Monday", "No Vehicle Day", fuel conservation and energy-saving measures in their respective constituencies. She also urged legislators to lead by example in adopting these initiatives.
