New Delhi, Sept. 27 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Bihar's Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana via video conferencing. During the programme, he directly transferred Rs.10,000 each into the bank accounts of 75 lakh women across Bihar, amounting to Rs.7,500 crore.
Modi highlighted that the scheme will empower women through self-employment and livelihood opportunities, enabling every family in Bihar to have at least one woman beneficiary. Starting with an initial grant of Rs.10,000, the scheme can provide up to Rs.2 lakh based on the success of enterprises, including shops, livestock-related ventures, and other small-scale businesses.
