New Delhi, Oct. 27 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the 22nd ASEAN-India Summit on October 26, 2025, reaffirming India's commitment to the ASEAN community and highlighting shared goals for inclusivity, sustainability, and regional stability.
In his opening remarks, Prime Minister Modi expressed delight at joining the "ASEAN family" once again and extended warm congratulations to Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim for his successful chairmanship of ASEAN. He also thanked Philippines President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for his role as India's country coordinator and welcomed Timor-Leste as ASEAN's newest member.
