New Delhi, July 15 -- The President of India has accepted the resignation of Brig. (Dr.) B. D. Mishra (Retd.) from the post of Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh. Brig. Mishra, a decorated former army officer, had held the post since February 2023.
In a major reshuffle, the President has also appointed the following individuals to new constitutional positions:
Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh has been appointed as the Governor of Haryana. A noted academic and former BJP West Bengal unit president, Prof. Ghosh is known for his contributions to education and public policy.
Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju, a senior leader of the Telugu Desam Party and former Union Civil Aviation Minister, has been appointed as the Governor of Goa.
