Power Distribution companies in Delhi to go under CAG audit
New Delhi, July 3 -- Delhi Power Minister Ashish Sood said that regulatory assets worth Rs.38,000 crore would now come under scrutiny as power distribution companies in the national capital are set to undergo a Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) audit for the first time.
He stated that following the directions of the Supreme Court and the approval for the CAG audit, every financial figure and claim related to the power sector would be examined, ensuring a comprehensive accounting of public funds.
