New Delhi, March 19 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 18 addressed the Rajya Sabha, extending his gratitude to members retiring from the House and acknowledging their significant contributions to parliamentary democracy.

Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister said such moments rise above party lines, as members bidding farewell move on to new responsibilities while carrying forward their experience into public life. He noted that in politics "there is never a full stop," and that the contributions of departing members would continue to shape national life.
