New Delhi, Feb. 21 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake on the sidelines of the AI Impact Summit, 2026 in New Delhi and reviewed the progress in India-Sri Lanka relations, reaffirming their commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties.
Describing Sri Lanka as a valued neighbour, Modi said the meeting provided an opportunity to assess recent advancements in cooperation between the two countries. The leaders discussed expanding collaboration in key sectors including energy, connectivity, infrastructure, healthcare, skill development, culture and the blue economy.
