New Delhi, July 26 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with President of the Republic of Maldives, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, at the President's Office in Male. Ahead of the meeting, Prime Minister Modi was received with a ceremonial welcome at Republic Square. The meeting reaffirmed the deep-rooted friendship between India and the Maldives.

Prime Minister Modi expressed appreciation for the hospitality extended by the Maldivian side, along with best wishes on the 60th anniversary of the Maldives' independence and the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
