New Delhi, Aug. 23 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone and inaugurated multiple development projects worth Rs.12,000 crore in Gaya, Bihar. Referring to Gaya ji as a sacred city of spirituality, peace, knowledge, and liberation, he recalled its association with Lord Buddha's enlightenment and congratulated the Bihar government for formally honoring the sentiment of calling the city "Gaya ji." He underlined that the Centre and State governments are working together to ensure the rapid development of the region.
