New Delhi, Dec. 18 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Muscat, Oman, and was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the airport by Oman's Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, underscoring the warmth and depth of bilateral relations.
The visit holds special significance as it marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Oman, one of India's oldest and most trusted partners in the Gulf region. The Ministry of External Affairs described the visit as an important step in deepening ties with a longstanding and historical partner.
