PM Lauds AirTrunk's Proposed Rs.3 Lakh Crore Investment in India's Digital Infrastructure
New Delhi, June 6 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the rapid growth of India's digital infrastructure ecosystem after AirTrunk announced plans to invest around Rs.3 lakh crore ($30 billion) in the country and develop 5 GW of data centre capacity.
Describing it as one of the largest proposed investments in India's digital infrastructure sector, the Prime Minister said the project would strengthen India's position as a global hub for cloud computing and artificial intelligence.
He noted that the investment would generate employment opportunities, support local supply chains and accelerate innovation-led growth. Modi added that the future of the global digital economy is increasingly being shaped in India.
