New Delhi, Aug. 5 -- Philippines President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has arrived in New Delhi for his first State Visit to India, marking the start of celebrations for the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations. He was received by Minister of State P. Margherita and accorded a warm welcome.
External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar called on President Marcos in the evening, expressing confidence that his upcoming talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi will significantly deepen the India-Philippines partnership. The visit is expected to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.
