New Delhi, June 23 -- National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met Ghadir Nezamipour, Deputy Secretary for Defense Affairs of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), on the sidelines of the 16th BRICS National Security Advisers' Meeting being held in New Delhi.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the evolving situation in West Asia and exchanged views on regional security developments. They also discussed cooperation within the BRICS framework and reviewed various aspects of India-Iran bilateral relations.
