New Delhi, Sept. 15 -- The two leaders recalled India's role in securing the African Union's inclusion as a permanent member of the G20 during India's G20 Presidency in 2023. They stressed that the India-African Union partnership was a key pillar of cooperation within the Global South.

Modi and Ndayishimiye discussed convening the fourth India-Africa Forum Summit at a mutually convenient date.

The two leaders also reviewed bilateral relations between India and Burundi, covering economic cooperation, development partnership, agricultural modernisation, healthcare and capacity-building initiatives.
