New Delhi, Feb. 13 -- The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), organised a National Consultation on India's initiatives under the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration (GCM).

The inaugural session was attended by Secretary (CPV & OIA) Sripriya Ranganathan, UN Resident Coordinator Stefan Priesner and IOM India Head of Office Sanjay Awasthi.

The discussions highlighted India's sustained engagement in regional and global migration processes. Participants deliberated on India's initiatives, experiences and emerging priorities aimed at promoting safe, orderly and regular migration, while strengthening international cooperation in the migration domain.ht...
