New Delhi, Sept. 17 -- The programme featured cultural presentations highlighting the rich traditions of the Hindi language, literature and Indian culture.

Deputy Mayor and Hindi Committee Chairperson Dr Monika Pant and Hindi Committee Vice-Chairperson Manisha attended the programme.

The MCD said Hindi represented India's cultural heritage and served as a powerful medium for expressing thoughts and emotions. The programme conveyed the message of respecting the language and increasing its use in the corporation's functioning.

The civic body said it remained committed to the preservation, promotion and wider use of Hindi.
