New Delhi, Aug. 16 -- The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) organised multiple initiatives to promote cleanliness and environmental awareness in the city.
In the South Zone, MCD held a Swachhta Pathshala at DPS RK Puram with the participation of 300 students. The event featured an interactive session on solid waste management, a Swachhta pledge, and cultural performances including nukkad natak and songs emphasising the importance of maintaining cleanliness.
Meanwhile, in the Shahdara North Zone, the MCD conducted a plogging drive along the banks of the Yamuna River. Volunteers collected waste while spreading awareness about environmental protection, aiming to inspire community participation in creating a cleaner and greener Delhi.
