New Delhi, Feb. 19 -- Commissioner, Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), Sanjeev Khirwar visited the Ghazipur landfill site along with senior MCD officials to assess the pace and quality of the ongoing remediation work.

The MCD Commissioner instructed the teams to scale up biomining operations with immediate effect, optimise deployment of equipment and manpower, and institute a daily performance tracking system to ensure tangible, time-bound outcomes. "Driven by decisive leadership and coordinated execution, MCD continues to advance its commitment to scientific waste processing and systematic legacy waste elimination," the MCD said in a statement.
