New Delhi, May 12 -- Delhi minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa met sanitation workers associated with the "Nigam Adhikar Mazdoor Union" at the Delhi Secretariat and discussed issues related to their welfare, working conditions and demands.

During the meeting, sanitation workers submitted a memorandum highlighting their concerns and also offered suggestions regarding issues affecting their work and welfare.

Sirsa said sanitation workers were the backbone of society and acknowledged their contribution towards maintaining cleanliness in the city.
