New Delhi, April 2 -- Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa chaired a meeting in Wazirpur Industrial Area with officials from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi and Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation to address the persistent problem of storm water drainage.
Highlighting that waterlogging during the monsoon remains a major challenge in Delhi, particularly in industrial areas, Sirsa noted that the issue directly affects daily operations as well as the environment. He issued strict directions to officials to modernise and develop a sustainable drainage system to ensure a permanent solution for Wazirpur.
