New Delhi, Feb. 18 -- Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla held a constructive meeting with Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman following the swearing-in ceremony of the newly formed government in Dhaka.

During the meeting, Birla handed over a personal letter from Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveying his warm wishes to Prime Minister Rahman and extending an invitation to visit India at the earliest convenience. He also congratulated the new government on behalf of the people of India and reaffirmed New Delhi's commitment to further strengthening the enduring partnership between the two neighbouring nations.
