New Delhi, April 28 -- Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa chaired a meeting at the Delhi Secretariat with representatives from schools, colleges, universities, and technical institutions to review a major tree plantation campaign.

He stated that under the mission, large-scale plantation will be carried out in educational institutions with active participation of students, teachers, and management. Emphasising the role of institutions in shaping society, he said their involvement will help turn the campaign into a mass movement.

The initiative draws inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" campaign and is being implemented under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. Religious institutions...
