New Delhi, Feb. 28 -- The Delhi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party has strongly reacted to the special court's decision to discharge Arvind Kejriwal and other accused in the excise policy case, asserting that the ruling does not amount to a clean chit.

Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said the court had acknowledged the absence of evidence, while investigative agencies had repeatedly maintained that evidence was destroyed. He questioned why the liquor policy was withdrawn soon after the investigation began if it was sound, and sought clarification on the rationale behind increasing the commission percentage for contractors.
