New Delhi, May 9 -- External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar held a comprehensive meeting with Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar and her Cabinet colleagues to review bilateral relations and discuss new initiatives for expanding cooperation between the two countries.

Jaishankar said the discussions focused on implementing commitments made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit last year, while also exploring fresh avenues of partnership across multiple sectors.

During the visit, India and Trinidad and Tobago concluded several agreements, including cooperation in tourism, solarisation of the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs building, Quick Impact Projects and the establishment of an Ayurveda Chair. ...
