New Delhi, Sept. 25 -- According to Jaishankar, the joint media statement issued after the meeting reaffirmed the three countries' commitment to the UN Charter, international law and the strengthening of the multilateral system.

The ministers reiterated support for comprehensive reform of the United Nations Security Council, stressing the need to make it more democratic, representative and legitimate and to better reflect contemporary global realities.

The meeting also discussed the impact of ongoing conflicts on countries of the Global South. The ministers expressed concern over spillover effects, particularly in the form of energy and food insecurity, inflation and growing fiscal pressures.
