Internet Subscriber Base in India Grows 6.24% in January-March 2026 Quarter
New Delhi, June 23 -- India's internet subscriber base grew by 6.24 per cent during the January-March 2026 quarter, increasing from 1,028.61 million subscribers at the end of December 2025 to 1,092.79 million by the end of March 2026, according to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
Of the total internet subscribers, 46.54 million were wired internet users while 1,046.26 million were wireless internet subscribers. Broadband subscribers accounted for 1,065.88 million of the total internet user base, while narrowband subscribers stood at 26.91 million. Broadband subscriptions registered a quarterly growth of 5.81 per cent, while narrowband subscriptions increased by 26.62 per cent during the period.
