New Delhi, March 13 -- India has dispatched a consignment of essential life-saving medicines to Shree Hindu Mandal Hospital in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, as part of its humanitarian assistance efforts. The medicines are being transported onboard the Indian Navy warship INS Trikand.
Founded in 1919 by the Indian-origin community, the hospital has long served thousands of patients in Tanzania each year, providing critical healthcare support to the local population.
Through this initiative, the Government of India has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Global South and ensuring the welfare of Indian diaspora communities abroad.
