New Delhi, May 23 -- India has delivered 20 tonnes of critical dry materials for BCG as well as Tetanus and Diphtheria (Td) vaccines to Kabul in support of Afghanistan's Child Immunisation Programme, according to Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal.

The consignment is aimed at strengthening immunisation efforts in Afghanistan's health sector, particularly for children. The Ministry stated that additional consignments are also underway as part of India's continuing humanitarian assistance to the country.

Jaiswal said India remains committed to supporting the people of Afghanistan, especially in the field of healthcare and public health services.
