New Delhi, Sept. 1 -- India and Uzbekistan elevated their bilateral relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's State Visit to Uzbekistan, with the two countries concluding 11 agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and announcing a series of initiatives covering culture, heritage, education, environment, tourism, traditional medicine, minerals, finance and digital payments.

In the cultural sphere, the two sides agreed on a Cultural Exchange Programme for 2026-30.
