New Delhi, Sept. 9 -- A new study on the recent wildfires in Turkiye, Cyprus, and Greece, released on August 28, 2025 by the World Weather Attribution has once again highlighted the perils of human induced climate change. The study finds that the climate change caused deadly wildfires in Turkiye, Cyprus and Greece 10 times more likely. In July 2025, Turkiye, Cyprus, and Greece experienced a devastating month of wildfire. In Turkey, at least 10 forestry and rescue workers were killed while battling wildfires in the country's central Eskisehir province in the month of July.
