New Delhi, March 12 -- Arvind Kejriwal, national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, alleged that the country is facing a severe shortage of LPG cylinders, claiming that domestic LPG production has declined by nearly 50 percent.
Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters, Kejriwal said the shortage has forced several LPG-dependent industries to shut down, leading to job losses. He also claimed that the government has directed that restaurants and hotels will not be supplied LPG cylinders, putting many establishments in major cities on the verge of closure.
Kejriwal added that the situation could affect wedding ceremonies across the country, as the ongoing marriage season depends heavily on LPG supply.
