New Delhi, July 29 -- External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar delivered a detailed statement in the Lok Sabha on the foreign policy aspects of Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terrorist attack. Addressing the House during a special discussion, Dr. Jaishankar outlined the immediate steps taken by India, the diplomatic groundwork laid in the lead-up to the operation, and the international response that followed.
Dr. Jaishankar began by noting that the Cabinet Committee on Security met on April 23 and decided on a strong five-point response to the attack.
